Why hand tied sits flatter
A hand tied weft has no machine seam running through it, so the return is thinner and the row lies closer to the head. That matters most on fine hair and on anyone who wears it up, where a thicker seam telegraphs through.
Working out how much you need
Because each weft is a fixed 16.9 grams, quantity is a straightforward calculation once you know how many rows the head takes and how wide each row runs. A weft can be cut to width, though cutting a hand tied weft requires sealing the cut end.
Hand tied or hybrid
Reach for hand tied when the priority is a flat row on finer hair. Reach for hybrid when you need volume quickly, since one hybrid bundle carries the equivalent of three hand tied wefts.

What is the difference between hand tied and machine wefts?

Can hand tied wefts be cut to width?
Yes, but the cut end must be sealed. A hand tied weft has no machine stitching holding the base together, so an unsealed cut will unravel along the row.
