Terms of Service
Effective 5 October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of https://www.weftsandwaves.com (the "Site") and your purchases of products, courses and classes from McKenzies Modern Locks Inc, doing business as Wefts and Waves Hair Extensions ("Wefts + Waves", "we", "us", "our"). By using the Site, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Who may buy from us
Our hair and wholesale pricing are for licensed hairstylists and salon professionals. Our courses and classes are for licensed hairstylists and students currently enrolled in cosmetology school. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
When you apply for a pro account, you agree that the information you give us, including your license or school details, is true and current. We may ask for proof, and we may decline, suspend or close an account, or cancel an order, if we cannot verify eligibility or believe these Terms have been broken.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity on your account. Tell us right away at support@weftsandwaves.com if you think someone has used your account without permission.
3. Products
Our extensions are made from natural human hair. Because hair donors vary in color and texture, and because of the manufacturing process, slight color and texture differences between batches and from the photos on the Site can occur. Colors on screens also vary. We are happy to help match shades; email photos to kenzie@weftsandwaves.com.
Our products are intended for installation by trained professionals. Follow our care instructions at https://www.weftsandwaves.com/haircare. You are responsible for the services you perform for your clients, including consultation, installation, color work and aftercare advice.
Hair bought at pro pricing is for use in your own professional services. Please do not resell it as loose hair to the public or to other retailers without our written permission.
4. Orders, prices and payment
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. Prices are in US dollars and may change at any time, but changes will not affect orders already accepted. Applicable taxes and shipping charges are shown at checkout. If a product is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information because of an error, we may cancel the order and refund any amount paid.
Discount codes are for the person they were issued to, may be used once unless stated otherwise, cannot be combined unless stated, and have no cash value.
5. Shipping
We ship to the address you give at checkout. Delivery times are estimates. Once a package has been handed to the carrier, delays and lost packages are beyond our control and shipping costs cannot be refunded, so please allow a few extra days.
6. Returns, exchanges and warranty
Our Returns, Exchanges + Policies page at https://www.weftsandwaves.com/returns-exchanges forms part of these Terms. In summary:
- We can refund or exchange hair that is still rolled up with the elastic bands around the wefts, if the return or exchange is made within 10 days of delivery.
- Refunds go to the original payment method once the hair is back with us, minus a 10% restocking fee.
- We cannot refund, replace or exchange hair that has been chemically altered, including colored, toned, rooted or permed hair.
- Hair is warrantied against manufacturer defects only when our care instructions are followed. Using sulfate shampoos voids the warranty.
- To report a quality issue, email support@weftsandwaves.com with your order number and the wefts affected. We review each case individually and decide the appropriate solution. Refunds are not available for quality issues; store credit will be issued where we agree a remedy is due.
7. Courses, classes and certification
Online courses give you access to the course for your own use, at your own pace, for as long as we offer the course. Kits for courses that include one are mailed after enrollment. In person class tickets include the kit and items listed on the class page.
Certification is awarded when your instructor has reviewed and passed your work. Completing course modules or attending a class does not by itself guarantee certification. We may withdraw a certification, and remove a stylist finder listing, if it was obtained improperly or if the method is misrepresented.
Course videos, materials and the Secret Method are our intellectual property. Do not share your login, or copy, record, resell or teach our course content without our written permission.
Online course fees are non-refundable, because you get immediate access to the course content. In person class tickets are refundable if you cancel at least 14 days before the class, and non-refundable after that. If we cancel a class, you will get a full refund or a seat in another class.
8. Certified stylist finder
Certified stylists may choose to be listed in our stylist finder. Listed stylists are independent professionals, not our employees or agents. They set their own prices and are solely responsible for the services they provide. A listing is not a guarantee of any stylist's work, and we are not a party to any agreement between a stylist and their client. If you are listed, you confirm that your profile information is accurate and that you have the right to share any photo you submit, and you can ask us to change or remove your listing at any time.
9. Emails and text messages
By creating an account or placing an order, you agree that we may email you about your orders, account and classes. Marketing emails are sent only as allowed by law, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.
Text messages: our text line is a customer care line. When you text us, you agree that we may reply by text in that conversation. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help, or email support@weftsandwaves.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your number.
10. Reviews and content you share
If you post or send us reviews, photos or other content, you confirm you have the right to share it and you allow us to use, reproduce and display it, with your name or salon if you include them, to promote our business. Do not submit anything unlawful, misleading or that infringes anyone else's rights.
11. Our intellectual property
The Site and its content, including text, photos, videos, logos, the Wefts + Waves name and the Secret Method name and materials, belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or use them for commercial purposes without our written permission.
12. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Site, including by trying to gain unauthorized access, interfering with its operation, scraping it, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
13. Disclaimers
Except for the warranty described above and any rights you have under law that cannot be waived, the Site, products, courses and classes are provided "as is" and "as available", without other warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Results of any installation depend on the stylist, the client's hair and aftercare, and are not guaranteed.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Site or our products or services. Our total liability for any claim relating to a product, course or class is limited to the amount you paid us for it. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising from your breach of these Terms or from services you provide to your clients using our products or methods.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Utah, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date and applies to orders placed and use of the Site after that date.
